I'm getting this error when I close Outlook 2003.

The instructions at "0x05c8a9fe" referenced memory at "0x61c2128. The memory could not be "read".
Click on OK to terminate the program.

I ran memtest, just incase, and all RAM is fine.
Any ideas?

Thanks,
ZoSo

The only thing that runs with Outlook is my Anti-virus proggy, I disabled it and I still get the error.
No overclocking, tried BIOS defaults too, same results.
Also tried using the "Detect and Repair" built into office, no luck.
I think I might just try to uninstall and re-install Office.

OK, I found the problem. It was Steganos Security Suite, I had just updated it. What it did I'm not exactly sure yet, I'm still looking in to it.
But I found it by reading this article found at the MS site.

Instead of re-installing you can do the following, it works even better than a re-install.

Start > Run > type in REGEDIT and click ok.

Follow this path on the left

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Office\11.0

Then delete the whole "Outlook" folder (still on the left)

Restart your PC and open Outlook, it will ask you to enter your settings and so on like it was a new installation.

hey guys,

I was having the same problem but it seems to be fixed now! Just received an email from the very friendly steganos support and they told me that there is an update available on there web site.

I hope I could help you!

Bye,

Surgy
