C&C: Generals isn't meant to run at exactly break-neck speed, but if it is as in slow motion, then that might be a problem.

Try turning some of the graphics options down, and turning off unecessary features (such as shadows and smooth water edges).

The problem may lie in your graphic abilities.

I gather from some of your other posts you have the Intel 82845G chipset.

I have got C&C: Generals (and used to run it on this chipest! :p )and the truth is that this is not great for running it.
As you have intergrated graphics, the higher your graphics settings, the lower your RAM, and hence the slower the game plays.

Personally the first thing I would do is update you graphics driver to the 82845G/GL/GE/PE/GV graphics controller and see if this has any effect.

This can be found here.

Right-Click the desktop and select properties.

Then choose the settings tab and click the advanced button.

Now select the adapter tab, and I think this should be the current device you are using for your graphics setup.

What does it say?
