Hi all. I am new here, so go easy on me LOL! I installed SP2 3 days ago, and the PC has been randomly rebooting itself ever since. Any suggestions on how to fix this? Any help would be appreciated. Here is the error report if it will help. Thanks!

Update - now my PC is either freezing altogether or programs are going not responding or "needs to close". What is happening with this SP2??? I'd simply uninstall it but then I am left without a firewall...

Windows XP (No SP or SP1) does come with a Firewall, you can turn it on manually!

The freezing could be due to:
a) Old drivers
b) Incompatible software
c) Old software

Update drivers and software and do a defrag of the system again.
Check for any unncessary software using MSCONFIG in Startup.
Spyware can affect XP systems to scan for them too.

Thanks for your reply Peter. I'll try those things you suggested.

I also had that problem before with SP2, I had all the latest drivers and software, but once I installed SP2 my PC would not start up, it just kept rebooting, not nice.
