PS: Could uninstalling VLC media player have caused it problems?

Help, AutoRun on both drives stop working... Win2000Pro

The autorun feature had worked before but in the last weeks, it dosn't work or run at all. The drives works fine, its just the autorun feature. I have already tried editing the registry (it was already 1, not zero). My drive has the latest firmware and every thing. Yes, i'm using the comp. as main admin, not guest or anything. Pleas healp! Thank you

FIXED...
Found this at Annoyances.org
Be sure to back up your registry first (export)
NoDriveTypeAutorun and simply delete the value (it was set as ff which
>disables all drives), find it as follows: HKCU\SOFTWARE\MICROSOFT\WINDOWS\CurrentVersion\Policies\Explorer
