I use k3b and I love it. It's kde app and I run gnome so it's a little slow to launch but it's worth the wait.

I am using KDE under mandrake 9.1. Does this distro come with an app itself that i can use to burn mp3's for my car stereo? Or general files? I found k3b and i am gonna try writing a CD. I guess it recognizes the writing device automatically. Anyway, i'll just try burning those files. CDs are cheap. wink

So I can better answer questions about Mandrake, I just installed Mandrake 9.1 at the end of my HD, and yes it does come with K3b, the GOD of all cd burner/writers! You should see it in your menu. If you don't. open a terminal and go:

k3b [enter]

And it should come up. smile

Hi,

I'm using RedHat 9.0.

It comes with Gnometoaster and X-cd-roast.

They suit my needs perfectly and runs stable and fast

k3b is your best choice if you want something close to Nero

The closest free software equivalent to Nero would be K3b. Nice GUI, easy to use. X-cd-roast is not easy to use at all.
