NEED HELP UNINSTALLING MCAFEE

I have on my system McAfee firewall and MCafee antivirus, I tried to uninstall it and it crased my internet driver. I could not access the Internet. The only way to do it is to restore my system. I have a dell, and I have tried to contact their service department and all I get is the run around and they tell me tget a hold of MCAfee which I did and they gave me some instructions none of which solved the internet problem. ANy advice would be helpfull, TKS.

If you are using IE, right click on the e icon on your desktop and choose Properties. Click on the Connections tab. Click on the Advanced button. Perchance McAfee was using a proxy connection. Change it to direct connection.
