I have just finished setting up my new computer and turned it on. All was fine untill it froze. I restarted and all was fine again. I set it up to do a chk dsk on restart and...restarted. It ran the chkdsk and then reboted and ran the chkdsk and reboted etc. I then got a message asking me what mode to enter in (ie. safe mode) and only safe mode works and even that is not great. When I select it it comes up with loads of information and then hangs for ages sometimes to then load into safe mode. Can anybody help?

Have found out that one can reset the bootexecute-entry (Without using the registry-editor) by executing this command:
Quote:
CHKNTFS /D
