I need to buy a USB hub and when i go to check prices I found "4 port hubs" and "2.0 4 port hubs". Can someone explain the difference and maybe recommend a good one, Thanks,
Ariel

Yes, it basically speed. The older 4-port USB hub is most likely a USB v1.1 hub, much slower, about 11~12 Mb per second transfer. Perfectly fine for shared devices like a mouse and/or keyboard. However the pricing on USB v2.0 hubs is pretty cheap and since pretty much all motherboards made in the past year or two are going to have support for USB v2.0, then why not maximize your performance smile
