I could have sworn I posted this yesterday, but nevermind.

Just bought a 64 bit PC and am wondering whether it is worth installing XP64 or just sticking with the standard XP. Anyone have experience with both and can give me some info?

Thanks

Whilst I haven't jumped on the 64bit bandwagon yet, I've heard some good things about Windows XP Professional x64 Edition.

Paul Thurrott has written a good preview of it here. It looks to be pretty good.

Hope this helps.

I wouldn't advise installing XP64 just yet. I've got a AMD64 3500 box that is a couple months old. I tried the XP64 beta at first. However, it couldn't run for more than a few minutes without crashing. It may have just been my hardware - but the thing looked worthless thus far.
