it's me again with a dns or dhcp problem

well i was in a rush and i didn't think clear. i was trying to fix my dsl connection, but i turn off my dhcp or dns, i forgot which one but prob the one the assign ip addresses. now i dunno how to turn it back up.....is there a solution to this? where do i go? is it in my router or in my laptop? i yea i turned the router's dhcp off...
