Screen flitering

I have a ASUS magic V9520 which i noe is crap. But it is able to play Doom 3 on my friends computer with the same video card without flitering. I mean the display looks like those when u video a computer screen with a video cam, i am starting to suspect that its my moniter thats causing this. Is it really my screen? ITs damn cheap and only supports 60hz refresh rate. Should i get a new monitor??
