I cannot get The Sims 2 to load on my Win ME machine. I exceed all of the required specs. Unfortunately, I am still running under Win ME, but the game says that it supports ME. Here is what I have found out so far.

I currently have DirectX 9.0b installed, and have the most up to date NVidia drivers for ME (61.76). DirectX 9.0c will not install. I did a little digging on the DirectX web site and found something stating that DirectX 9.0c requires NVidia driver 61.77. If you look up 61.77, this is a Win XP ONLY driver.

So ... the million dollar question is, can you install DirectX 9.0c on a system running Windows ME with a NVidia card? Any help is greatly appreciated.

What make and model of card do you have? Drivers vary from card to card.
