SP2 haging on installation - loading mstscax.dll

This is the second time I've tried to install SP2.

It gets 40% done loading MSTSCAX.DLL and hangs. Then gives a copy error. When I browse to the location and click the file name it tries again but will not complete load. Last time I had to turn off the power and let XP clean out the aborted install and revert to the SP1 installation (which is relatively new to a reformated drive).

Has anyone experienced this problem?
