Final Fantasy VII - Not even starting up

Hey,
I just found my copy of FFVII: PC version in my closet and wanted to play it after a long time. Only problem is that when i insert the CD, nothing happens. In fact, if i go to My Computer and open the CD's folder, i can only see a few folders with some files. The installation is not even starting!
I also tried inserting the disc on an Windows ME (i have 2 OS's on my computer) but it gave me the same problem.

Someone please help. I'm using Windows XP Home edition.

Have you tried setting the compatibilty to Win XP? FFVII is an older game so it may just need a to be where the compatibility is fixed^^.

uhm how do you do that? XD *doesn't really know much*

Because, my problem is, NOTHING happens when i insert the disc. When i go to the disk, i see seperate files ;_;
