Does anybody here know how to make a CREATIVE PC-CAM 850 run on linux? It's not inside the Camera list in Linux and when i plug it into my pc, a folder called "camera" is created in /mnt but nothing else happens.

Do you have usbview installed? see if it shows up in there or in dmesg. I normally mount my nikon as /dev/sda1 /mnt/nikon
