Transend USB JetFlash 2 (1.0GB) causes reboot when inserted

I just finished installing XP SP 2 and now every time I try to insert the Transend USB JetFlash drive the system reboots. The error message sent to Microsoft indicates the problem is with a device driver. Transend has no information on this problem. Has anyone else had the problem or found a solution?
