Hello:
I have recently acquired broadband access, so there is really no need restart/shutdown my computer any more, but I am wondering what the stress is on the motherboard & cpu. I'm worried because I'm using a power supply that shipped with a 486 in the early 90's (200W), so I don't know if leaving it on all time will stress it out...

System is K6-2/500 S.7 in 486 AT case.

Thanks for your help.

I once ran a 486DX 66MHz for 32days, 16hrs, 38mins, 41sec, running Win95. That was the record - it was still up essentially 24x7, running as a file server. My 250W PSU that went with my P3-500MHz is still running 24x7 (with a shiny 'new' 933MHz CPU). I'd say you're alright.
