Can't play anything, everything freezes up

Okay, i got my HD reformatted, and my pc is going absolutley great. Except for the fact that when i play any game (Ragnarok Online for example) , I can't hear any music, and anytime i exit the game, my computer freezes!

Would it have to do with my Video Card?

Someone please help me out.

What video card do you have?
Do you have sound card drivers installed?
