Hi!!
I'm running win nt 4.0 and I have recently installed MSN Messenger 5.0. Unfortunately, I couldn't use because my proxy server won't let me so I uninstalled it using "add/remove programs" in the control panel. As far as I could tell, the uninstall process went fine. The problem is now every time I start my computer I get the following error message once I log on:
"Cannot find the file 'C:\Program Files\MSN Messenger\msnmsgr.exe' (or one of its components). Make sure the path and filename are correct and that all required libraries are available."
Has anybody had a similar problem and found a solution for it? I tried reinstalling it again and then unsintalling it again but that made no difference.
Many thanks in advance,
Arnaud

Sounds like the uninstaller missed the startup entry in your registry. That entry is usually here:
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run
if for some reason it is not listed there, try here:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run
That should take care of that message for you.
Good Luck!
