Hi,

When I install directx 9.0b from windows update site http://v4.windowsupdate.microsoft.com/no/default.asp
is seems to install properly. I don`t receive any kind of failure/problem message. However it doesn`t seem to be installed. When I reboot and go to windpows update, the file is still listed as need to be installed.
When I clik start, run, Dxdiag - I see that the version I have on my computer is direct x 8.1.
Any idea what the problem might be ?

I`m running xp home edition.

Thanks in advance.
Simba smile

Direct 9.0c is now out. Try it instead: http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/detai...;DisplayLang=en

Well, as I understand it, it is almost identical to the RC2 candidate that was put out about a month ago. But, you can install it directly without haveing to go through safe mode. So, yes, as far as I know this is the final 9.0c.
