Can't Login

While installin the sims, the installation quit and it gave me the blue screen of death....and then the only thing I could was restart. So guess what I DID! RESTARTED!! and im on windows XP HOME.... and when I go to the login screen to choose which account to login to...it logs me in, and nothing on the desktop loads not even the taskbar..just the background loads..and then it logs right back out to the login screen...
Any Help???
Suggestions???
