I NEED A LOT OF HELP PLZ WITH MANDRAKE 10 INSTALL

This is my first time installing mandrake so i am not sure what to do. I have installed red hat 9. I have tryed booting with the cd-rom and did not work so i am really lost plz help me!!

We get an awful lot of posts like yours on "10." Do a search here on "Mandrake 10 install", and you should have an array of information on this problem. Personally, my advice is to go to Fedora Core 1. Good Luck! smile

Or better yet get a copy of Mepis smile You'll have a much better chance of success and be happier in the long run. SimpllyMepis is in rc2 and nothing compares.

Seriously, Mepis is good and has good hardware detection. Apart from Knoppix, it's probably the most user friendly Debian spinoff there is out there. smile

Knoppix is fine as a bootable CD, but, less than satisfactory for HD install. Not fully compatable with Debian standard or the repositories. Mepis is fully compatible with unstable Debian.
