Hi Alex
most automotive acrylics usually don't affect plastics, however
I would probably talk to either a fibreglass specialist or chemist regards the pitfalls for plastics used in computer cases. other alternatives would be gel-coating the plastic or
having it "chrome-look" finished. (yeah they can actually make plastic look like chrome) only be judicious too much looks tacky. Good Luck

Just be careful, in my experience with these things I've found that some paint eats the plastic, and, further experience with spraying cars and the plastic parts thereof (ie. bumpers, mirrors etc.) a very long time ago, you have to give it a undercoat first so that the final coat of paint sticks/stays on the plastic, I cant remember exactly what its called but I remember something about plastic adhesive spray or something in that lines, you'll have to wait for someone that knows a bit more than me to confirm this.
