Hey folks. Don't come around much anymore.

Anyway. I'm looking to get a VIA motherboard and processor to run a file server. I am having a lot of trouble finding places that sell them where they are easy to find. Newegg used to but apparently they no longer do.

Does anyone have any experience finding these online (preferably in motherboard/processor combo? Also, where can I get a mini case (shuttle like) for the system? Any experience with VIA processor based systems in general? I don't need lots of processing power. I am looking for a silent system with only a hard drive running.

Thanks.

Well actually VIA purchased what was once Cyrix so in a way their latest S370 CPU's are based on these wink

I do have experince with the old Cyrix CPU's and perhaps you can glean more info from this site for your needs.

I'm not familiar with trying to purchase a mobo/cpu combo online however, sorry about that frown
