I have downloaded the updates for this and done all the things the microsoft webpage says. but i still get the lovsan and blaster virus that norton and avg get rid of for me. Am I leaving something out that needs to be done to stop this virus from getting thru. I did have to disable the system restore and I have not turned that back on? should I?

also do you know how to close off the other ports that are open for people to run these worms on my computer?

Try the symantec web site here is the link to the blaster virus removal section. (There maybe a tool you can use as well)

Read through the removal instructions carefully.
And there shouldn't be a problem.
