I need help runnin Directx 9.0

my Sis driver version won't let Directx 9.0 run (it only supports up to directx7)
The sis website was no help but they do probably have what I want if I knew what it was called. My E-mail is schwaleon@yahoo.com Please help if you can. I just hope that its possible because I think I have a rather old chipset on a new motherboard.
