War of the Worlds on 2000 Professional

I use the new wow file and used petit to shrink it down

and it worked fine, but I cannot get music from the C.D.

and my screen resolution cannot go past 680 x 400

My equipment is a PENTIUM 4 , 2 GIG RAM ,GEFORCE 3

Can somebody help!!!!
