does anybody know any way i can get power from the motherboard or power supply without having to turn on the computer?

what i have done is added 2 usb lights in the case(i got tired of having to use a flash light everytime i mess around with the pc)but it's kinda pointless cause i have to turn on the pc to have the lights on which defeats the purpose, i don't want to have another seperate powersupply either.

well, if anyone has done something similiar, please let me know.

Actually, as long as the PSU is plugged in, there's a very tiny amount of electricity flowing, but it's not enough to power your USB stuff.
