I'm trying out Fedora Core1 but somehow i have problems in configuring the internet connection. The OS can identify my ethernet network card (3com EtherLink PCI TPO NIC 3C900B-TPO) but could not activate it. The error message says - [ Determining IP information for eth0...failed; no link present, check cable? ]
I've checked the LED at my NIC is flashing in green and i'm using a SB5100 cable modem. I've even tried re-configuring it with redhat-config-network and deleting the card's profile, but still the same. I'm not using any router by the way. So i wonder if anyone could help? Should i try to download the latest driver provide by 3com website, will it helps?
Thanks!

Try to disable "kudzu" under services. There is a known issue with kudzu and 3com based cards.
