We have a total of 10 workstations networked to our Win2k Pro Workstation (Acting as server) We had the user limit message pop up this morning, but we only have 10 computers total NOT including the "server" workstation. Does the server count as a connection?

Windows 200 Professional has a limit of a total of 10 connections. It does not matter if it is servers or workstations or a combination of both. Your workstation (server) should not count as a connection on the PC.

Each computer may be having more than one conection. netbios chatter for example, or an opened named pipe for before, combined with anothe file transer, so they can equal more than 10. the connections are counted for any file or print services, plus any use authentication. FTP/HTTP are not bound to this 10 connection limit, but they are bound to a totally other 10 conection limit based specifically on the protocols use\d. (http and ftp)
On windows servers anonymous access does not count towards a user account.
