xp game compatibility

Hello from NY. I'm new on the forum and computer stupid. Can the PC game Sanitarium be run on my XP system? When I find this game for sale, some list different system requirements. Any help would be greatly appreciated. THANKS

ooooo that is a fun spooky game...
this is what I found here at this site in the compatibility section

Sanitarium doesn't seem to want to work under Win XP with ATI Radeons, always crashes after about 30 seconds of starting.

Does work with NVidia cards and XP though.
