My c: is t0o small to fit hiberfil.sys yet I want to be able to hibernate. Any tips how to make windows put hiberfil.sys somewhere else?

Hi Duhmez,
Regretably, I am aware of no option to relocate your Hiberfil.sys unlike pagefile.sys. Your best bet is to resize the partitions. If you have an NTFS C:\ and an NTFS something else you can mount a partition from another drive as a folder on C:\. That would then free up enough space to have the hiberfil.sys file there. Another option is uninstall some craption:
Clipart
games,
MSDN,
unused office components (not everyone uses access, publisher, or powerpoint)

Good Luck,
Christian

Hi Gang,
While we're on the topic of Hiberfil.sys does anyone know how to tell from DOS whether or not the system will be resuming from hiberfil.sys vs. starting up as usual?
Thanks in Advance,
Christian Blackburn
