Hi all,

I am no llonger able to save any new themes I make in Windows XP. In the display properties, the Themes tab has a "save as" button; if i click it and navigate to anyplace on my computer (I have tested a ton of locations, all with the same result) and enter a name for the new theme, it does not get saved at all. What is even more strange is that if instead of a new name for the theme I choose an older theme, meaning to replace it, Windows just plains deletes the old theme but never saves the new one. Has anyone else encountered this and know of a fix? Thanks.

I have the same problem on my home PC. I loaded a copied version of Deus-ex (a game) and ever since then I can not keep the change to my desktop background. After I restart the computer, 2 mins later it sort of power surges and defaults back to the normal xp background, Themes wont hold either. The other 2 users on the computer have no problems.....just me. I fiqure it is in my settings somewhere. I even put updated drivers in for my video card......but it still happens. Someone must have a quick fix.
