program to record audio on a schedule?

Looking for suggestion for recording audio on a schedule, preferrably straight to mp3. I want to record streaming audio from the web(radio station). My favorite show is 12-3 and i am always smegging working.
Prefer freeware/gpl or some such, but shareware is OK too.

how is this stream played?

via winamp? media player? and IE player?

propriatary player www.surfernetwork.com

i have no problem writing a script that will start up the player and start the show, so i just need to record the "Wav source" or "What you hear"

I was told that Total Recorder might do what you are looking for.
