Confusing one this
when I click start and then run and type a letter (say 'a') it shows all the files on my computers drives / network shares / typed web urls that being with 'a'.
For example:
file:///A:/BBC%20Boards.txt
or
http://www.autism-oasis.com/g.php?...
or
\Auto (the name of a folder on my 2nd HDD)
Is there a hidden feature in XP that I have unwittingly enabled? ;( Can anyone tell me how to turn this off?

i believe this is call autocomplete
the run box allows you to run programs, open files or load web pages
so it makes sense that they would have autocomplete there
