I'm puttin' together a new PC and need a case. I've always used stuff from Enlight, but I'm leaving my options open this time. Here are my requirements in order of importance (most important first)

1. Quiet
2. Layout
3. Quality Materials, "tight" feel
4. Looks
5. Durability

I've always liked the traditional beige case, but I'm looking for something more interesting this time. If possible I'd like to keep it in the $70 - $100 range. Anybody have recommendations? If you could also include links that would be helpful.

ANy of the Antec series, here's mine here

Case looks nice and is tough like a tank.

You can buy them pretty cheap too, plus ANTEC makes great PS

I've got the Antec Sonata, and I love it! It is a VERY quiet case - I was shocked the first time I turned it on.

NewEgg has it for $96:

Looks like mine, I have the smaller version though, the SX830. A very solid case.

The SX1040BII looks friggin sweet. I just about bought it but then i realized, I have all beige colored components (cd roms/floppy). Does this sucker come in beige? It sounds like this case is exactly what i'm looking for, but i don't want to look goofy with different colored components.

Maybe it's not a big deal if i use the door..

Did you find the biege version? I know Antec makes one, but I'd have to look up the model number.

I got a SOny Floppy with Different Faceplacets, but My Sony CDROM is Beige.

You can paint it easy to match.

Don't really matter with the door

I also have the Antec Sonata and would highly recommend it.

It's quiet, very well built and looks great.

The only downer with it is that you can't use an Abit SATA to legacy IDE converter in the dedicated HD bays; there's not enough room. But that is my only gripe.

I found a beige version, but it doesn't come with a power supply. I figured by the time I bought it, and a power supply I'd pay more than for the same thing (in black) on newegg. I got the black one with the 400W Antec supply for $80.

Well I got the case... it's beautiful, very roomy, and extremely sturdy. But it's pretty damn loud. I'm gonna play around with some SilentTek stuff to see if I can control any of the loudness.

Not happy at all with this case. 5.5 inch bays rattle whenever the cd rom spins cuz the drive rails don't fit tight... and noise from fans and hard drive seem to echo and therefore be made louder.

since one of my requirements was a quiet case, i'm really not happy. however, i do like the way the case looks and the materials its made out of. too bad i bought it online and can't easily send it back. maybe i'll try though.
