I need help I accidentally disabled the RPC service thinking it was the Remote Access service and I cannot restart it! I know it is not the goddamn blaster worm or any other of those goddamn worms going around; I manually disabled it myself, and now every time i run my OS i can only run a few limited services not dependent upon the RPC service. the OS running is windows XP and im running it on an intel desktop board 40 gb hard drive. There are no hardware problems with the pc i simply need to somehow reactivate the rpc service, Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Right click on my computer and click manage

go too services and check which ones are disabled

You can also use system restore to go back before you accidently shut down the rpc services

In case that doesn't work, look at this page which talks about a registry fix: http://snakefoot.fateback.com/tweak/winnt/service_details/service_regedit.html
