When this last batch of Viruses hit the net, I read that microsoft shut it's Windows Update site down. Is it still down? I've loaded run the latest files from the Microsoft.com website, but if I try going to Windows Update, I get the old "that site don't exist" message. (paraphrasing). Everything else works great. Any Ideas? thanks

Yes, my copy is legal. smile

Microsoft disabled the name www.windowsupdate.com for a while, but it works again on my system. But, as they pointed out when they disabled windowsupdate.com temporarily, the proper URL is windowsupdate.microsoft.com -- so try that...

Thanks for the info guys. I've tried all that..no go. But, after a few more trys, it's started redirecting me to the www.microsoft.com home page every time. I've also tried pinging those addresses...also, no luck.

Thanks again
