win2k3 128mb memory limit

is there any way to stop the installation from refusing to install on a sub 128mb system? its really annoying me, im aware it might not run great but t least the installation could let me install it to try lol.

IIRC, it's 64mb (2000 Server) and I believe that the parameters are set in TXTSETUP.SIF...I'll have to check my documentation.

I did this way back in '99 when installing a beta ver of 2K on a P100. Ran about as well as NT4.

Haven't tried it on 2k3 yet.

Yes that is the line that needs to be edited in the TXTSETUP.SIF file which is in the /i386 folder. So the install needs to obviously be run from the HD not the CD or edit the file and reburn the CD.

The hard part is figuring out what the multiplier is to figure out the correcdt value to change that setting to. I have not had any success personally getting it to work setting it to 0.

can you just remove the line entirely?
