When is XP SP2 due out?

I see that Windows 2k SP4 is almost complete but I have not heard anything about RCs of Windows XP SP2. Hrmmm someone is going to have to get on Bill's arse about this

It will probably go into beta when Windows 2000 SP4 is released, I suspect it's the same team (Microsoft Windows Sustained Engineering Team).

Any major fixes for it? I hear sp1 just messed everything up.

Yes I heard about this too but I've not come across any issues myself

I don't really remember installing SP1. I do have SP1a, but that's only because I needed it to get the USB 2.0 on one system working.

SP1a is the same as SP1. just no microsoft Java

didn't mess anything up for me, nor did it seem to fix anything either.

I Think there will alweays be a group of people that something screws somethying up for them and instead of getting to the actual root of the problem, them simply blame 1 individual thing.

if SP1 messed so many things up, why does it work fine for me on the 6 + systems it has been installed in ranging from a 133 laptop to an over clocked 2.4 @ 3.2 ghz machines ranging from a gaming rig to a MySQL database and web server
