Hi,
On one of my 2003 servers I use tightVNC to remotely log in. However the server locks itself after being idle for a little while. I can't unlock through VNC , I have to physically log on to the server and unlock it before I am able to use VNC with it If anyone could tell me how to disable the automatic locking feature of 2003 server it would be appreciated.
thanks.

We will need to go into Group Policy Object Editor, go to Start -> Run -> and type gpedit.msc followed by enter. You should see the Group Policy Editor as shown on the left. Browse to Computer Configuration -> Administrative Templates -> System -> now look for it i forget what it is called

Doesn't VNC have an option to send Ctrl-Alt-Del by clicking on the icon at the top left and selecting it from the menu? If not, I know that VNC has it. You could use VNC Viewer to connect, send Ctrl-Alt-Del to the PC, log on, disconnect and connect using Tight VNC (since it performs better than VNC... right?)
Hope this helps,
Steve
