I am having trouble with my video card. I can only display 16 colours at 800x600 pixels. ;(
I just got this PC from work. Before I formatted and reinstalled Windows 2000, the display wasd working fine at 1024x768 res. But now there doesn't seem to be any drivers for the video card. I don't know the manufacturer all the info I have is in Display, Settings, Advanced, Adapter, it is listed as VGA. When I click Properties, under General it says VgaSave, Device Type: Non-Plug and Play Drivers.
In Device Manger it is listed under Other Devices as Video Controller (VGA Compatible) with a yellow ! beside it.
Windows Update doesn't seem to have any drivers.
I am using the same monitor as with my old computer, which it worked fine with.

Who is the manufacturer of the computer/ video card? If you can't find this take a look at the video card directly and look for a logo, or name of some sort on a predominant chip on the card (if it isn't covered up). You'll need to find this out and then just download and install the driver for it.

I think it has integrated graphics. There isn't a PCI card in there for the adapter. Where should I look?

Take a look on your motherboard for a chip that says ATI, SIS, or INTEL most likely. Those are the more common integrated video chips. If you see one of those, make note of the other sumbers on the chip and take a look at the respective manufacturers website for a driver. Likely candidates are Intel i810, ATI Rage128, I forget the usual SiS chip... 630 or something like that
