...do not work in XP. They all install okay, but when I actually try to run them I get the Black Screen of Oblivion and can't get any further. I've tried the XP compatibility options. Don't work. Tried QFixApp. Doesn't work. Tried DOSBox - gives me an error message which stays up for approximately .0003 seconds before exiting the program. Any other options?

They do all work on my old Win95 computer, except for a slight problem in Gabriel Knight Sins of the Father (diskette version) where he will not pick up the phone at the beginning of day 5, effectively halting the game. If I can't get it to work in XP, I would appreciate someone telling me where I can get a saved game past the phone problem.

If anybody can help me, I'd be very very grateful.

I've been thinking about that, but I'm hesitant to do anything with the hard drive already in my laptop. I have another drive in a disk enclosure which connects with a USB port, but I'm not sure if partitioning it would work.

I heard earlier versions of Windows might have trouble recognizing the USB because it's fairly new. Now I don't know much about the process, so I don't really know how much the USB would affect it. Should I just try it anyway?

Hello to all:
My name is Inferno, and I have a small homepage in which I and a few of my friends have gotten a number of games to run on Windows XP with various amounts of tweaking. You can find it here:Inferno's Adventures http://home.earthlink.net/~angeldancer27/index.html
Gabriel Knight and Tex Murphy does work on XP but there are certain tweaks which must be performed first in order for that to happen.

Gabriel Knight I http://home.earthlink.net/~infernofilecabinet2/XpSetupsF_J/GK1Setup.htm
Gabriel Knight II http://home.earthlink.net/~infernofilecabinet2/XpSetupsF_J/GKII_Setup.htm
Tex Murphy:Pandora Directive

I'm having an odder issue...

I'm trying to play Gabriel Knight II again on a windows XP system, but I can't even install it. When I attempt to, the sierra install bits start up, but then seem to minimize. I can hear the chimes of the install program, but it's like it's stuck on my task bar and won't restore to visual.

Got any ideas?
