NBA Live 2000 on XP

Has anyone managed to get NBA Live 2000 to work on their version on XP ;( It's worked previously on my old XP computer, but now doesn't want to work on my new XP one, something about an "Unhandled exception occurred in blah blah..." Has anyone been able to solve this? I've been on the EA Technical Support Help page where it does come up with a solution, and either I'm computer illiterate ( :x) or the solution doesn't work because the error still occurs. Help me please
