The copy you purchased should be bootable already.
If you had XP Home preinstalled on a new PC, you should have a recovery CD, so you don't really need an XP Home CD.
If you're asking about burning naughty copies of the software, you're out of luck.

My laptop came with OS recovery on the other partition, if you loose this you have to get the cds from the manufacturer to restore this.
In my case it was Compaq and they sent them for free, after abit of chatting.
But yeh, as Bursar said it should be bootable alreay, but if for some reason you need rto make it bootable, there are sound guides out there on how to slipstream, a XP, and the last thing it tells you how to do is to make the cd bootable.
