When I first installed WinXP home I couldn't run Microsoft Hellbender. Then I found a fix on this website that uses SETWIN95, and it worked like magic, until recently. I suspect Microsoft has done something with a security update that prevents the game from running. Has anyone any ideas on how to get around this issue?
When I launch the game I get one of those "Microsof® Hellbender had encountered a problem and needs to close. We are sorry for the inconvenience." messages.
I can't help it, I don't play games that much, but this is the only game that I ever really look forward to playing. Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
I have a PIII HP, 512mb ram.

Sometimes, when the filesystem is NTFS i've found that just running chkdsk /f on your hard disk helps. It might not in this case, but it's worth a try. I've had it fix mysterious "just stopped working" problems before.
