Mouse sens. issues in all XP's OS's does any1 know a fix?

I run 2000 pro right now cause it doent have mouse issues like XP's do does any 1 know the fix?

Even this .net server stanard OS has the same issue as XP.
MY primary online game i play is quake3, and when i run xp the sens is messed up and wierd it like lags when moving the mouse 2000 doesnt have this issue, does any 1 know a fix?
