ATI says the next version of their catalyst drivers 3.3 will have more performance gains in them. They said that they are commited to brining users Solid Stable Drivers that still perform well. Also the 9700 prices will be droping around $100 USD, so those cards are going to be FLYING off of shelves at that price.

At the rate nVidia is losing vendors for their graphics cards, looks like they might have to start selling reference boards soon. That is what kept ATI alive.
