i'm pretty much looking for a replacement to this

several other questions
1 is there a windows version of ipconfig in 2k?
2 information on what subnet mask and default gateway is
3 whats the easiest way to share files between 2 pc's over internet even if one is behind a firewall

when it comes to networking, i know what i want to get done, just dont know how to do it.

You asked if there as an ipconfig for win2k. yes there is. It's called ipconfig.......

Did you mean a graphical ipconfig?

If so, then Alecstaars is recommended (From the APK toolset). Prints it up in a nice window and also a snazzy button to copy the info to clipboard for easy pasting. Personally I am a commandline junkie and have no need for such a thing.
