Hi
As the thread title suggests:
i have an AMD Athlon XP1800 processor running on a motherboard with the model number of K7S5A im not sure if it takes 4 in 1 drivers but looking at the manual the chipset has Elite Group written on it??
Help would be appreciated!!

no.your motherboard is from elite group(ecs) but uses sis735 chipset.you cannot install 4in1 dirvers because is for via chipset only.but you can use sis chipset update drivers.

In the Device manager open the System devices if you see any via devices there sutch as VIA processor to AGP controler you have a VIA chipset and therefore you need the via 4 in 1 drivers.

i cannot see any VIA things in device manager so where would i go for the latest SIS drivers???
i have already downloaded an updated AGP driver but maybe i need something else? the website i got the AGP driver from only has modem and sound drivers etc which i do not use

The K7S5A is based on the SiS 735 chipset and doesn't use VIA 4 in 1s. I only install the AGP driver and my system is working fine.

SiS website of course. On the other hand, if things are working correctly, you don't necessarily need/should get a different driver.
